February Challenge - The Heart

Welcome to the February challenge: The Heart!

You and your 4-legged teammate will need to work together to trace the shape of a heart, using two jumps, two send-arounds and a floor target.

There are three levels for this challenge. You can pick whichever level you would like to complete. A diagram of the setup and the different levels is shown below.

All three levels involve you cueing your teammate to do a jump to a send-around to a floor target, then another send-around to another jump and back to the start, to form the shape of the heart. The main difference between the levels is where you are standing (or moving alongside) when you cue your teammate:

Level 1: Start at the point of the heart, then you can move around wherever you need to, to guide your teammate around the obstacles. Remember to step backwards after each send-around, so that you can guide your teammate to the next obstacle.

Level 2: Ask your teammate to wait at the tip of the heart while you stand in the middle of the left ‘lobe’ of the heart. Cue your teammate to do the first jump, send-around, and the floor target. Ask them to wait at the target while you move to the middle of the right ‘lobe’ of the heart. Cue your teammate to do the second send-around, jump and back towards the starting point.

Level 3: Start standing at the tip of the heart. Cue your teammate to do all the obstacles in order. You can step forwards to cue your teammate but your back foot must always be at the tip of the heart.

When you video your challenge, please make sure that you keep the whole ‘heart’ in view throughout.

To submit your video, just follow the link in your email. You should already have seen the demonstration video for the challenge in the same email.

Good luck! And if you need any help with the challenge, just give me a shout!
